simple 'No Ads' browser please
Discussion
Can someone suggest a simple web browser that works on all sites without allowing crappy pop ups and 'ads etc.
Please don't suggest Chrome/Firefox/opera etc. these are the opposite of what I want
I don't need syncing etc. just a simple browser, it doesnt even need a favourites drop down!

Why not just use Chrome or Firefox with adblock....Please don't suggest Chrome/Firefox/opera etc. these are the opposite of what I want

It's the sites that throw the popups and have the ads, browsers do not have inbuilt ads as such.
What you are asking is equivalent to asking for a phone that doesn't allow ads scam calls etc. It's the line that the calls come through, not the phone.
As mentioned, simply put on an ad blocker and remove any undesired toolbars etc. Most browsers can be make simple like this.

Hard to believe a simple browser don't exist.

Most users only use a few of the features in most software. The problem, is they all use a slightly different subset of all features. What you think are the basic features will be different to what others think. You'll stuggle to convince many that a browser shouldn't have favourites.TA

Chrome & uBlock Origin - don't remember the last time I saw an ad.
Same here. Can be a bit over zealous and block something you want to see but small price to pay. I switched mine off the other day to see the blocked content and then did some further surfing with it switched off, wow, I had forgotten what a truly awful experience the internet can be with adds hogging resources and bandwith. No ad blocking extensions or add-ons needed with Opera: http://www.opera.com/computer/features/ad-blocker

Browsers from a UI perspective are simple.TA
From a code pov they are not.
You want a 'simple' browser but one that can play video, html5 etc etc?
A browser is there to meet html specs and display web pages, how is it going to know what part of that page is advert and what part isnt?
What you want is an incredibly complicated web browser ....
