Panasonic Lumix G7?

I've not used the 4k feature on mine and have struggled to understand how to use many of the other features - I think it's an age thing and that other cameras would appear equally complex, no wonder I've used a compact digital camera in auto mode since I sold my last 35mm film SLR.

Panasonics 4K photo system is quite clever, not all Panasonic 4K cameras though

Is the right answer.

If it doesn't have to be SLR shaped then the GX80 and Sony A6300 do great 4k. The GX80 has in-body stabilisation too if you use vintage lenses.

As far as I know they have the same sensor. Image quality is pretty much the same across the G7, GX80 and GH4. GH4 has a couple of pro video features and is a bit more sturdy.

Sony AX53 is worth a look as well. It's a dedicated camcorder rather than stills camera but the image quality is superb, stabilisation is amazing and it would be much easier to get a good result if you don't fancy fiddling about with settings.

The gx80 had pretty decent cash back recently (£150) and the Sony a6000 and 5100 were also reduced plus some others. May be worth holding off for a event again once one goes a few will follow.

The gx80 has some nice features I'm torn between this and one of Sony's offerings
