Me and the other half have a week spare from midday on the 26th until the 2nd April

We wanted to go somewhere hot, but only have a week and all the guaranteed hot places are a total of 1 days travelling and as we are not available until midday on the 26th (in Bristol) we couldn't make any flights work for us.

We are at a loss where to go. We can drive or fly and want to go somewhere interesting! Budget ~2k maybe? We are 23 and 27.

Any suggestions?

Just spotted this.

French Riviera is a good choice. We went year before last, the same week. Based in Nice, easy to use the bus to visit Cannes one way and Monaco the other. Decent weather, not scorchio, but nice for walking about, apart from the day we went to Monaco which was a bit driech.

To be honest because of the timing we can leave on a Sunday we are thinking about driving and getting the tunnel. Will then have the freedom to get around when we are there and visit other places on the way

What is it like driving down around there?

A bloody long way :-)

Why not get the earliest flight you can on Monday?
You'll be down there by lunchtime.

Of possible return late Sunday.

It may be ok getting down there but just imagine having the return journey and work the next day.

Just looked on Skyscanner, there's a Easyjet flight at 6:20pm to Nice from Gatwick on the Sunday, return 12:45pm on the following Sunday.

Hire a car at the airport.

Go on AirBNB or Owners Direct for accommodation unless you want a hotel.

Or a few days in Nice, visit Monaco (easy train journey), then drive west through Antibes, Cannes and spend a few days in Agay.
Maybe another day in Nice before you fly back.

Nice is a fantastic place. Walk up to the castle on the hill, fly along the coast by chopper to Monaco, drive up into the mountains for skiing, hiking or lunch.

Florida? Naples is great on the gulf coast, warm and pleasant. Alternatively drive up the East coast - stay in motels, lots to visit, cape Kennedy, Daytona.

Just looked, Sunday flight full but there is a flight early Monday.

Stay in a hotel at Gatwick Sunday evening?
