Only a few places at the moment but clearly the direction of travel if you pardon the pun!

Might be to you but to me, who only looks at the TVR section, it isn't old news.

And it has been moved from the TVR section. Why?

Because it's not TVR news?

I know lots of my TVR buddies travel through France and took the view that if I didn't know, they might not either!

I am sure it does. Not even the mighty google powered ph search has the ability to tell me what I don't or didn't know exists

If everybody in the TVR section posted anything and everything new that they had just found out, that they thought other people on the TVR might not know, then there would be no room for anything about TVRs rolleyes

May I suggest you broaden you horizons and look at other sections other than TVR - you might learn something read

I pop into events occasionally and sometimes the lounge but the rest of the time we do our thing in our little world and try to help each other out where we can. A friendly bunch who now won't know about this...

I see this post has been moved twice - mods to mod the mods - PH rules ok!!!

Are all TVR owners really as blinkered as you're making them out to be?
Will it not dawn on them that there might be more to their 'little world' than just TVR news - and that if they wanted to expand on that 'little world' by planning to drive in France (or any other country) it might be worth them checking out motoring rules, regs and laws that apply in the 'bigger world'.

Maybe there should be a section where there's news and advice about travelling and holidays - and so it can be easily found (even by TVR owners) maybe it could be called "Holidays and travel" .... Oh hang on!

I don't know if they are blinkered or not. Doesn't seem to be many as many pedants in the TVR section as in other places. time to move on and thanks for the suggestions winkwavey

I don't consider myself to be a pedant, but common sense leads me realise that information about driving in France isn't restricted to TVR owners, and therefore the TVR forum isn't where it should have been posted.
And I'd like to think that if I was a TVR owner and wanted to motor in France I wouldn't expect to rely on all the info I needed to be in a TVR forum, but I would expect it to be in a Holidays & Travel forum - again it's just common sense really smilebyebye

Thanks for the heads-up Graham. thumbup As you know, I am also a TVR driver and obviously live in my little world too. (which includes earning a daily crust) I don't have time to trawl all the PH forums on a regular basis either, as life's too short.

I will be driving through France in my TVR, either this year or next year and did not know about this. I am therefore a grateful, narrow-minded TVR driver now. smile

Things often change - so I hope that nearer the time you plan to travel you manage to use some of your precious time, outside of the TVR section, to do a bit more research.

Good luck with your travels wink
