Basically from next week it is compulsory for children under 12 to wear cycling helmets or face a 90 Euro fine.

They love a few laws in France! Where our house is we have some wonderful lanes to ride along and you'll never see Les Flics.

Nevertheless, we all wear helmets in our household because it's stupid not to.

This strikes me as being one of the most sensible French laws to date!
