Where are you staying?

I went there with the girlfriend last summer. We used US Dollars, but you do get change in local currency. You can't obtain the local currency outside of the country.

We didn't use much money expect on excursions, we went swimming with dolphins and on a catamaran day out where you get to go snorkeling.

Staying near Sousa.
I didn't think we would have needed much, we both have our own snorkelling gear so won't be going on snorkelling excursions.
I think US dollars will be the best bet then. I was think of getting around £500 changed for both of us, will be taking cards with me just in case.

cheers,

Sousa beach is fantasic for boogie boardingsmile

We got married there a few years ago - awesome placesmile

I'd recommend the outback safari trips as a must, it's a great way to see the country. The rum factory is worth a go, it's unbelievably cheap! The horseback safari's are pretty good, although try to get a weather forecast first - although saying that, it was still pretty cool trotting through the forest/jungle during a downpour.

Oh, and the Ocean Centre (can't remember the exact name) is pretty good as well - swimming with dolphins is a must.

Enjoy!

The jungle tour by truck is pretty cool. The beach they take you to is very isolated and is an awseome end to a very long day.

hmm, not sure about the rum factory, things might get messy!
I have to bring back top class cigars for my dad though, he will be fuming if I don't come back with any. I read online that you can roll your own cigars on a certain tour to a cigar factory, that sounds promising!
Sounds like we will have loads to keep us amused, as we are both very active holidayers!
