I use Ryanair for convienience, they do fly into northern airports. The odd time that I have had to cancel I have written off the cost as it often falls below a round of drinks with the mates.
You get what you pay for and you have to be careful with all the low cost airlines, Jet2 add ons are just as bad. Am flying Leeds - Paris for £10.48 in November, if I can't make it I'm not going to lose any sleep. I accept it is a different situation if you have all the family with you.
I'm not keen on Mr O'Leary but they do provide a service at a cost.

Only used RA once for a mercifully short flight

NEVER again

By contrast I feel EJ have the right balance, though some of their charges are getting a bit questionable

There's something called a Tipping Point. This is the point at which a deal/product/brand whatever becomes unpopular or unviable.
I suspect Ryanair is rapidly closing on this point.

For me personally I use air travel weekly. I actually won't use Ryanair specifically as the cabin staff are the rudest you've ever met. So I use a combination of Easyjet, Air France and Lufthansa instead.
I got here a while ago, I fly BMI now earn Diamond Club points, treated well allocated seats, free food & drinks. Also find flying from Heathrow & travelling from Kent quicker than mucking around at the airports Ryanair fly from.

I wonder how much he gets paid to present Panorma? After all all he really does is a link at the beginning and at the end. About 2 minutes work!
