Around 48 - I thought it was about 50 or so but I can't think of any I've missed. They were all done in about a 20 year period. haven't added many new ones recently.

Mine must be around 50, but I've never bothered to count them all. I suppose I could go through all my old passports...

In terms of countries per year, I doubt anyone can beat my daughter. She has visited 10 countries and is 1. Anyone beat a 10 / year ratio?

Shay : China on a 125 motorbike sounds amazing, will you be posting on here as you go?

Did you read the thread on ADVRider site about someone who did similar? Well worth a read.

That thread was what put the seed of thought into my head. Problem with that website though is that every day you come off the internet wanting to bike across a different area. Inspirational stuff!
(if you thought it was already planned, it isn't at all smile - just a pipe dream right now)

Sounds like me! I would love to do that, maybe when this term finishes in April. Might need something bigger than a 125 though. I've got a little Honda 2 stroke at the moment and I wouldn't fancy aking it much further than the end of town.

Age: 30. Total countries: 43. Never boarded a plane till I was 24 - family couldn't afford as a kid; the passport I got then was my first ever. Only one of those countries above was anything remotely resembling a package holiday. Which I'd discount as being "really" seeing a country. Thankfully I've been there more than once. smile

The more I visit, the more I realise there are a hundred different worlds out there to see. Should be able to rack up a couple more before the New Year, and looking to be at 50+ countries by the time I hit 31. I have one rule now - each passport I get has to be replaced due to being full before due to expiring. The b*stards gave me an extra-thick one this time around - I didn't know whether to shout at them/thank them for the challenge it sets. wink

Aye, I've read a lot of that one. Truly amazing! That was a trip where he just thought "I want to ride to London" and then did it. Still was wearing just his normal clothes and trainers when he set off. Class!
