Will add the US this year with a trip to NYC and hopefully at least one other minimum.

Decided now at 31 to make it my mission to visit at least one new country each year for the foreseeable future.
Added the US and Hungary this year as expected.

That’s 19 if we count the home countries individually, still pretty poor.

But I’m currently on track to keep to my 1 new country/year requirement by having a long weekend booked to Krakow in May. Hoping to tick off Iceland in 2019 too.
Poland ticked off this year as intended.

Now to decide on where to go next year, I think we have suppliers in Slovakia and Italy that might need a visit.

UK, except NI
France - 10 times - 3 holiday 7 work
Denmark - 5 times - all work
Holland - once - work
Germany - lost count – probably high teens – mainly work though, I really like Germany
Austria - 3 times - twice work - one holiday
Norway - 3 times - twice work – one holiday
Estonia - once work – very attractive women, I seemed to spend my time letching
Sweden - once work - even better women – even more letching
Dubai - 3 times – work – not impressed with the place
Italy inc. Sardinia -twice work- twice holiday – Sardinia is gorgeous.
Spain - lost count – high teens? both, mainly work though
Portugal – once – work
Andorra – once - holiday
Greece inc. Corfu - 3 times - once work- twice holiday
Belgium - once – holiday
Turkey - once – holiday
Japan - 3 times work – I wasn’t that impressed to be honest
China - 3 times work
South Korea – 6 times work
USA, Miami and Atlanta - twice work, both just overnight stops…
Grand Bahama (is that the US?) - twice work, areas of great picture postcard beauty, a bay a mile away – complete dump.
Switzerland - twice work, 3 times holiday, will be 4 in Feb – can’t wait
Never lived anywhere but the UK.
I thought international travel with work would be awesome - before I did it. Nowadays, I really don’t want to go anymore.

No idea if I've already posted on this thread but anyway:

New Zealand
Australia
Hong Kong (China)
Taiwan (China)
Israel
Morocco
Gran Canaria (Spain)
Madeira (Portugal)
Portugal
Spain
France
Belgium
Italy
Germany
Greece/Corfu
USA
Canada
Czech Republic
Dominican Republic
Ireland
England
Scotland
Wales

At 47 years of age bit of a low tally really compared to some. Need to get away more but unfortunately kids have put a halt to foreign trips. I rarely go away with work anymore as they'd rather we Skype and to be honest on most business trips I'm lucky if I see much outside of an office, airport or hotel room.

29 for me, though skewed slightly by the fact I lived in West Africa for 3 years and the Middle East for 5 so plenty of work travel.
Private travel has almost always been to the USA (I've toured extensively through 47 states) so other countries have taken a bit of a backseat.

UK
EIRE
France
Germany
Belgium
Switzerland
Austria
Solvakia
Netherlands
Italy
Portugal
Spain (Canaries)
Finland

USA
Canada

UAE
Bahrain
Qatar
Oman
Jordan
Iraq
Kurdistan

Singapore
Malaysia
Thailand

Tunisia
Angola
South Africa
Seychelles

Planning to add at least 2 more in 2020 with trips planned to Kuwait and Russia, hopefully might squeeze a Euro trip in there as well.

Thought it would be a good time to revisit this at the start of a new year!

Obviously COVID got in the way a bit but since I last posted at the end of 2019 I've been to the following:

Zimbabwe
Bulgaria
United Arab Emirates
Portugal
Italy
Greece
Germany
Cape Verde
Kenya
Ireland

New ones are in bold

By my count that takes me to 34 in total

I clearly have some catching up to do.

UK
France
Italy
Spain
Switzerland
Germany
Austria
Greece
Turkey
Croatia
Slovenia
Ireland
Russia
The Netherlands
Trinidad and Tobago
Canada
USA (New York, Seattle, California)

That's 17, and I'm 22.
Well in the 3.5 years since I wrote that I can add 6 more to the list:
St Lucia
Barbados
Grenada
UAE (Dubai)
Hong Kong
Jordan

So up to 23, but I've got a bit older too...
Another year, and I can add:
- Kenya
- South Africa
- Vietnam
- Malaysia
- Belgium
- Portugal

Up to 29.
One year on, and this year I can add to the list:
- Zambia
- Zimbabwe
- Saudi Arabia

Up to 32.

Slightly disappointed that it's only 3 new countries, despite 95 flights. Theoretically could add Qatar and Bahrain, but that was only transiting through. I didn't even make it to the USA once this year.
Another year, another 2 new countries, so now up to 34.
- Malta
- Egypt

Have one more new one planned for 2019 already (Singapore)
In 2019 I added Singapore to the list, and in 2022 I added Morocco, so now up to 36. No new countries in 2020 and 2021.

I should be adding at least one more to the list in 2023, but I suspect it’ll be 2024 before I hit 40 countries.

48. Expected more tbh. Planning to add either Japan or Canada to the list this year. South America and/or Australia next year.
Since 2017 I added only 1 one of the 4 targets above; South America. Japan didn't happen which was the biggest let-down. Hope to change that soon.

So added since 2017:

Malta
UAE
Argentina
Brasil
Latvia
Serbia

Not that many new ones, but funnily, except for Malta, all of these a minimum of two times.

Up to 72 and hoping to hit 100 within the next few years, so I'd better aim for 10 new countries a year now. I did read that the Queen had been to 117 countries so maybe I should go for that!

The interesting ones I'm hoping to go to this year are Khazakstan, Oman, Jordan and Taiwan. Europe is largely done so I need to travel further afield now.

Anyone up for a motorbiking trip to Georgia?

81 or something. Includes some territories and dependancies. Probably forgotten a few islands (they all look the same after a while tongue out ). Helps that I have a ten-foot map of the world with them all marked right behind me now.
Good thread resurrection,

In the last five years I have only added Libya, Tunisia, Austria and Montenegro. Noticed Turkey is missing from my original list, been there since too.

So 86 ish.
Another six years on, and the only one added is Albania I think.

Why do so many mention wanting to go to Kazakhstan! Living their most of the time I maybe don't see the attraction of a holiday there!
