Lebanon (trying to get in there straight from Tel Aviv was fun!)
Was that by land? Is there even a border crossing there? Sounds tense.

Pretty poor really but through work it's very likely I'll end up visiting Japan, Russia and Spain before long and we're currently planning a holiday to Croatia in the summer.

There is a land border between Israel & Lebanon, but it can only be used by UN personnel, as I found out when I tried to cross. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a UN delegation to tag onto, so ended up flying to Cyprus for a quick overnight and then, the next day into Lebanon using my 2nd passport.

You meant 42 smile

Grand Cayman is part of the Cayman Islands.. still part of the uk.

Oh and Dubai and Abu Dhabi are two of the seven emirates that make up the UAE so that's the country you've been to.

Never actually done this before.
I think my list is the following which makes 34 countries for 33 years:

Scotland
Wales
England
Ireland
N Ireland
France
Spain
Switzerland
Germany
Finland
Denmark
Hungary
Czech republic
Yugoslavia (as was)
Italy
Spain
Portugal
Cyprus
Greece
Turkey
Malta
Vatican City
Monaco

Tunisia

China
Hong Kong
Macau
Taiwan
South Korea
Singapore
Thailand
Japan

USA
Canada

For me, this doesn't quite tell the whole story as I have visited the same countries multiple times for both work and leisure.... e.g Taiwan about 15 times, Japan 10 times, HKG 5 times, USA 20 times etc.

This year so far for instance, I have done Hungary, the US and Japan and have Spain, Greece, Thailand, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan arranged for the next 3 months. (none of them new for me..)

I think a better measure is the number of stamps / stickers in ones passport. smile

My current passport (8 years old) has just over 100 stamps in it and only 2 clean pages left. Expecting to fill it this year and waiting to see what happens when there is no space for new stamps....

I got a new passport in February after having only a couple of empty pages left in the old one. I could have kept it going for a bit longer, but I have a few trips planned and didn't fancy applying for a new one from a random city somewhere!

I think the old one had about 60 stamps and 8 visa stickers in it over 7 years.

I'm 37 so not sure this is a great list but:

England
Scotland
Wales
Northern Ireland
Eire
USA (41 of the States - I did live there for over 5 years and travelled with work)
Canada
Mexico
Finland
Norway
Sweden
Denmark
The Maldives
France
Belgium
Spain (including the Ballaerics (sp) and Canaries)
Netherlands
Germany
Portugal
UAE (Dubai and Abu Dhabi)
Bulgaria
Russia
Greece
Egypt
Turkey

Quite disappointing really - need to get out more - this year should include Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.....

Bump from the ancient past, but after a summer roadtrip around Scandinavia, I can now add a few more to my list.
I've visited 41 countries in my 30 years so far, mostly since I turned 18 so in the last decade or so.
Done 5 continents, just South America and Antarctica to go although I doubt I'll make the last one!
Country number 42 will hopefully be Morocco or possibly Egypt in 2016.

I can honestly say the worst place I have ever been to is Shepton Mallet. I feel genuinely sorry for anyone that lives there, and no offence but its dire given it has an interesting name. There were some things there that made it utterly awful.

So my list did end up getting longer mainly thanks to work and a few holidays.
UK
Ireland
Portugal
Spain
Fuerteventura
Morocco
France
Belgium
Holland
Czech Republic
Switzerland
Tunisia
Germany
Greece
Japan
Mexico

Still room for improvement.
