2 people, Manchester is our nearest airport but if it works out more than 100 cheaper from a london based airport then thats cool.

Would be looking at May time for 2/3 weeks.

Cheap as chips B & B accomodation.

Less we spend on flights and fancy accomodation the more money we have to spend on diving.
Same price from Manchester as say Heathrow, Carl.

I'll get to work and sort a quote or two for you. Should be able to wing it across tomorrow if that is OK?

Very best wishes for your trip to Micronesia Carl.
The sun was setting, German Channel was full of plankton and so started the greatest 70 minutes of non stop manta action I have filmed in 15 years of diving. I hope the sun (or rather mantas) shine on you too.

Carl, I've done an itinerary for you for Truk & Palau. I've not done Yap because there are only two resorts in Yap, and one is probably going to be too expensive if you're looking for something cheap & cheerful and the other is built next to a swamp and makes Shrek's house look positively luxurious! There's no B&B accommodation in Yap, and nor is there in Palau & Truk for that matter. Truk again only has two resorts and I've used the cheapest for you. In Palau I've used a motel kind of place that I often stick people in and no one has had any complaints in the 18 years I've been dealing with it.

You cannot fly to and from these places any day you want, so I've done roughly a week in each place based on the flight schedule. (Numbers in brackets are days you'd be away)

Wednesday (1): Fly Manchester to Manila via Singapore on Singapore Airlines.
Thursday (2): Arrive Manila. Fly Manila to Truk via Guam on Continental Air Micronesia.
Friday (3): Arrive Truk. 6 nights Truk Stop Hotel in a standard deluxe room on a room only basis. 4 days diving @ 2 dives/day inc tanks & weights.
Thursday (9): Fly Truk to Palau via Guam on Continental Air Micronesia.. 8 nights West Plaza By The Sea on a standard room on a room only basis. 5 days diving @ 2 dives/day inc tanks, weights & lunch.
Friday (17): Fly Palau to Manila on Continental Air Micronesia. 1 night Manila Airport Hotel on a room only basis
Saturday (18): Fly Manila to Manchester via Singapore on Singapore Airlines.
Sunday (19): Arrive Manchester.

Cost would be £2400 per person in twin share including:
All flights in economy class
All transfers
Accommodation as specified
Diving as specified.
Airline taxes

Cost does not include:
Dive/travel insurance (mandatory)
Truk dive permit: US $30
Palau dive permits:
Koror State Rock Island, Diving and Jellyfish Lake Permit. This permit allows you to visit Jellyfish Lake: US $35
Peleliu State Diving Permit (required for trips to Peleliu & recommended if you are diving more than a few days as it opens up more dive sites to you.) US $20
Meals & drinks (except lunch on dive days in Palau)
Departure taxes (US $20 from each place)

Possible upgrades:
3rd dive of the day in Truk: Add £23
3rd dive of the day in Palau: Add £26

Valid for travel in May 2011....

Let me know what you think!

No problem!

You won't get it any cheaper, Carl. It's the other side of the planet and all that...

Sorry!
