[quote=Jonesy23] With regard to the car I know about, the first owner is known by the simple method of having bought it from them in 1971 and keeping it ever since.

Question: Bought it from them, Who is them in 1971?

[quote=Jonesy23]it was brought up by Marcos Heritage without any prompting

Question: When was it bought up by Marcos Heritage?

Lots of questions...

I have no idea about what may have happened with other cars. I know about a specific one. Maybe owning a house to register it to made a difference?

Who is 'them'? Take a wild guess. English does include non-gender-specific terms when making a generic reference.

When was it brought up? Asked for a build file by chassis/engine/reg as I was interested to see it once I found out they were available. Got a reply 'yes we can supply that, BTW did you know that the first owner was...' Not complicated or controversial.

To be honest I thought some people might have been interested to know a little about one of the cars - after all they already knew there was yellow one, and that a Marcos had been sold to buy a Miura, and were wondering about an 8-track, and maybe some extra info would be appreciated given the inaccuracies floating around.

If not it doesn't really matter.

More film footage of Rod Driving his Marcos was shown in London Rock on Sky Arts 1 TV.

It shows rod inside his Marcos, a rear view going down the road, the car pulling up and Rod getting out of his Marcos greeting one of his friends.

The Marcos was a 3LV6 NFJ 634G.

Maybe Rod owned a third Marcos he forgot about.

I have some information regarding Rod Stewarts first Marcos which may be of interest to you.

I bought his first Marcos off him in January 1970. It was the same day as he took possession of his new 3 litre silver one, I was at the garage with him at the time.

It was a yellow 1600. He told me that he had fitted a janspeed engine in it, which I later changed with a brand new 1600 Mexico engine.

The car was first registered in June 1967 and Rod bought the car in December 1968 and was the third owner, me being the fourth.

I sold the car to a guy that told me that he was exporting it to Australia. He did/does NOT know that this Marcos ever belong to Rod Stewart.

Because I know one of the cars was not registered in his name.
His name was on the logbook of his first Marcos.
