What footwear with jeans?
Discussion
I always associate shiny shoes and jeans with old blokes who should know better, slip-ons are particularly dodgy. As an old bloke myself I now only have one pair of jeans that I wear with anything but shiny shoes. I may be unduly influenced here by my inner 15 year old though (circa 1977).
Surely a choice of appropriate footwear would depend upon the cut and style of the jeans?
Or is that too obvious.
Unless you are Billy Crazy Horse from Alberquerque and there is only one style of jean and only one style of boot.
Oh and a black shiny slip on buckle shoe never looks good, not with any colour denim. They are for common people to wear at weddings, funerals and court.

I have about 8 pairs of plimsoles in different colours, they feel nice to drive in and are casual.
Although not best if doing long walks (obviously).
I wear a nice red pair of these with my jeans, comfy and they go well.Although not best if doing long walks (obviously).
Formal shoes with jeans aren't a great idea, but other than that if it works it works.
Try looking in the mirror.
