Black shoes are fine as long as the denim is very dark. Pretty much anything can work with jeans, depending on the style, cut and colour of them - you've got to be fairly blind to make a cock up there.

I have about 8 pairs of plimsoles in different colours, they feel nice to drive in and are casual.
Although not best if doing long walks (obviously).

I wear a nice red pair of these with my jeans, comfy and they go well.
I see people in these and think it's a shame they can't afford proper trainers.
...and I think it's a shame that you can't go fk yourself...

It also depends what you're wearing with the jeans but I agree.

Also depends a lot on the shoes. A pair of black Church's Oxfords (fine shoes as they may be) just ain't gonna work with jeans. However, something a bit racier like Jeffery West will be fine, black or otherwise.

Formal shoes with jeans aren't a great idea, but other than that if it works it works.

Try looking in the mirror.

Ive been told by various people that they are actually quite nice. Guess its just an age thing.

Hate these with a passion.
At the moment (not right now) wearing Vans, pair of Adidas Cueros bought a few months back and a pair of Adidas Forrest Hills. All with jeans.
To the OP - I think i read in the other thread a big no-no is running trainers with jeans. I agree but then again i've never ever seen anybody do this haha!

Classic Adidas / Puma trainers or Converse All Stars, or Caterpillar boots in colder weather.

Caution: I am a bloke on Pistonheads who doesn't really care massively about style, hence I wear these:

Yes, I am still 11 thank you.

At my age, I cling to every opportunity that presents itself!

Besides, my sons wear them. Smelliest things in the world. Those 'posh' plimsolls smell terrible too!
