At my age, I cling to every opportunity that presents itself!

Besides, my sons wear them. Smelliest things in the world. Those 'posh' plimsolls smell terrible too!

I have about 8 pairs of plimsoles in different colours, they feel nice to drive in and are casual.
Although not best if doing long walks (obviously).

yikes

Women's shoes, on men. Often seen with skinny jeans. Nice. Very manly.

In another thread I read that trainers with jeans is a total no-no. I agree and I'd never do it. However, in the same thread I also read that shoes with jeans is a total no-no too.

I doubt I'd get into skinny jeans hehe, I wear shorts for most of the year and I have alot of pairs as they are useful for when I'm training.

What sort of training? They lack support, shirley?

Kickboxing, they allow me to straighten out my foot inline with my leg when I kick and they are flat sole which is essential, anything with a heel is a nono so trainers are out of the question.
Either these or barefoot depends on the floor we're training on.

Ah, I see, makes sense.

I think they look Godawful as casual wear, but it's all subjective. I still have flashbacks to a recent terrible stag weekend, where all the attendees were all at least ten years younger than me, and the rig of choice seemed to be those sort of plimsolls, skinny jeans with almost the whole bum hanging out and superdry t-shirts. Shudder.

If I didn't know these were 'fashionable', I'd have assumed they were worn by the inhabitants of residential care homes.

Sure, if it amuses you.
Sadly, it does. No offense intended though.

And if you think I'm putting my size 7 1/2s up for ridicule! People in glass houses etc.

None taken. If i was bothered by what other people thought about what i wear, you think i'd be wearing green, blue, black, red, white and yellow coloured shoes? They're comfy as, that's all i'm too bothered about.
Shoes like that are very comfortable. yes

Doogz, do you like Duff's as well?

Jeans? People wear them? hehe

Seriously, if I wear the one pair that I own it's either...

If I am mostly driving or just puttering about the house

...or...

If I will be doing some serious walking (think three parks at Disney in one day)

above picture not mine, just found on the web to show jeans with these boots

Never had a pair. Have several pairs of Etnies though. I don't board, i just think they're comfy. Occasionally wear them on the bike if i'm just out messing about, or anywhere urban-ish.
Same here, wear for the comfort. I also like the colour combo's. I would post a pic but can't on the work computer.
