The fact that Americans refer to Wednesday as "Hump Day" and say "Happy Hump Day!" to you. hehe

Makes me snigger every time. smile
If it's not raining, does that make it dry hump day?
The problems comes when it's combined with food poisoning: hump day dump day.
Shat on a wall....

This is probably a 'you had to be there' one, but anyway...

Was in Go Outdoors with my daughter yesterday, and as we were going down one of the aisles there were two chaps coming the other way, speaking in an eastern European language which I recognised as Polish.

As I looked across at one of the displays, which was for hiking equipment, I noticed a sign for "Walking Poles" and said to my daughter "Oooh look, that's them that is !!".

The look of contempt, mixed with grudging admiration for a well-played pun, was deeply satisfying !! biggrin

The very best puns are 'off the cuff'. There's a mild curse in our household: " Oh buggerations!". My daughter, in her first year at UCL and in halls, was trying to get her notes together for a lecture and her room mate (a girl of eastern dusky hue) was in the (shared) room. Said daughter couldn't find the folder she sought and uttered this curse in frustration...

The atmosphere was palpable I'm told. biggrin
