That mumsnet thread is very strange, the occasional one who sounds like a goer there though.

I did raise a chuckle at this

I'm assuming it is this one about taking it up the parcs.

Mumsnet is a very weird place.
Netmums is also weird, but they take themselves a bit less seriously.

ETA - Worth an afternoon if you ever want to know just what women really talk about!

Take it up the arse at Centre Parcs

I don't think they'll be rushing to amend their brochure, tbh.

I mentioned this elsewhere recently, but for years when growing up I thought "berk" was a very tame word meaning a mildly silly person or a chump. It was only years later that I discovered "berk" is short for "Berkeley Hunt". paperbag

...excepting that the Berkeley Hunt is a real thing to be referenced by rhyming(ish) wags, whereas the Berkshire Hunt is not.

tru dat

sorry for sparking the confusion there

that was what I meant by my enigmatic 'Berkeley' post

the hunt that was rhymed was the Berkeley Hunt, there is (was?) no Berkshire Hunt

edit: although there is this....
http://www.oldberkshunt.co.uk/
...which isn't in Berkshire either

It was reported on the local radio station news last night that a piglet had been stolen from Windmill Hill City farm in Bristol. As is the norm, a spokesperson was interviewed about it - her name?

Nicky Bacon!!

hehe

I briefly went out with a girl called Nicky Bacon. Wonder if it's her?

Is there a website I might be able to have a gander at?
