Last night on the M3 I saw a builders lorry with a wide-head broom stored upright in one of the vertical tubes of the tipper mechanism - common enough thing to see, nothing out of the ordinary there.
But what amused me greatly in a juvenile way was the fact that the slipstream had caught it in such a way as it was rotating, and it looked for all the world like the lorry was equipped with radar.
