Do any fellow Grammar Nazis know what the word Pitty means or where it came from? I'm looking at a building called 'Pitty Close Farm' and just wondered...

I've brought a new metal gloss black ski slope fascia to replace an old plastic wooden type. I have also purchased the conversion kit - https://astonmartinbits.com/models/4-DB9/parts/149...

Has anyone fitted this, the main difference is the use of 2 metal springs instead of the screen being held in by the plastic clips either side?

Also how does the rise and fall of the screen work, I assume the small electric motor drives plastic gears which move the screen up and down, how does it know it's limits? do the gears have to be installed in a precise way for the screen to move properly?

Thanks for any helpful advice.
Advice ? How about a spelling, punctuation and grammar course ? Also I wonder if you brought (sic) it at a bring and buy sale.

My relative contacted the private mail provider that had delivered the letter and by means of a cereal number at the top of the envelope was able to prove the letter was picked up from the employer's premises the day prior to receipt.

Punctuation and grammar? How about stopping putting spaces before punctuation?

Why do people do this more and more nowadays?! The fashion of writing everything "like this !" smacks of illiteracy.

For the same reason 'misspell' one of the most commonly misspelled words?
