You mean Northern Ireland.
If it's nearly new I would say it's quite likely to be ex hire car.
BTW DVLA will put a mainland plate on it FOC, also works vica versa
From my experience cars in NI are a couple of hundred more expensive.

As already eluded to earlier in the thread, it is all very well being totally non-fault in an accident, but that really does not offer much comfort when you are dead, crippled or injured! So many bikers get cross at SMIDSYs, but carry on riding like every driver is 100% competent & will not make a mistake or miss them. Same as driving really, you can either proactively leave space & margins for errors of yourself & others, or you can ride your luck hoping never to come across a big enough mistake to be involved in a collision.....

Hi chaps, quick question. I have a doner car which I've tacken everything of value off, it's literally just the shell, doors, glass and loom. I need to tow it away to be scrapped at a proper place to can give me a certificate of destruction etc. Do I pay them? I know scrapyards normally pay me but because I've taken everything from it theres not much left for them apart from half a ton of steel! Thanks

depends on how close to you they are, what the price of steel is on the day you ask

Hi i just picked up my 1998 XJ8 after putting a new tranmission in it and im getting a stall speed error code the car takes awhile to pick up speed in drive the mechanic was thinking that the rear axile was bad but I scanned the car and got stall speed error and the dash says transmission fault. The fluid is full, is this caused by the speed sensor? Does anyone know what is causes this? It reverses fine but takes time to pick up speed in drive.

Hi All, can you help or offer some advise please.
Drive the car made a horrable crunching noise and by the time she got home (only 2min away) the car had dumped all the gearbox oil on the road and left a trail all the way home.
i checked the engine oil which was fine (few...) the worst noise possable came from the gearbox (not good) so i switch it off and pushed the car off my drive where it continued to bleed oil.
Is this a catastofic fialiure......
Any advise welcome please
thnsk , this was my thought but trying to stay posative but suspect going to cost a fortune now.
