I have a set of new slix I will need to use this coming weekend. Qually looks to be wet but the race is looking to be dry. I would normally bed new slix in during qually. Couple of questions.....can you race on new slix without putting a heat cycle through them first with out damaging them ? and secondly I was thinking of CAREFULLY bringing the new tyres up to temperature on the rolling road. Anyone think using the rollers is a bad idea and if so why.

Good read is this, on the subject of number plates (the lotus looks "right" on the black plates) why oh why do people put up with a scotish number, ie, one with an S in? A friend had a tr4with a plate starting YSL , and yes they were reflective!!! Looked bloody awful.
Most restored classics have a Heritage certificate? Cert should give original area of registration, so a quick call to the areas licencing office should provide an age related plate-dont accept a SCOTISH plate !!!!!!!

Twelve years employed in a management position with employer, six months ago given new roll within the company. No increase in salary came with the new roll, but now company say not suitable for the new roll, and therefore want to demote employment status, with a 20%, £12k reduction in salary.

Employer have put this in writing, advising that if the demotion and cut in salary is not accepted, then an "investigation" and disciplinary action could be started, possibly resulting in dismissal.

What action can an employee take to support their position.

How come Jason Borne can leap from an opposing building and go smashing through a window (including a wooden frame!) without a scrape when most of us can't pick up a broken glass with out cutting ourselves?

Leaving card going round here, for a young guy who can no longer do his job for medical reasons. Smashing bloke, very sad.

It reads; "Sorry your leaving".

Agreed. I think it's a step too far. Clarkson is a bit of a tit most of the time and has an arrogance that makes him think he can waft above it all.

His fans might clap and applaud but those with an once of intelligence just start to see him for what he is.

I suspect his ascendency is about to take a downward slope if he continues like this ....
