Oh Well" is a song recorded by Fleetwood Mac in 1969 In the summer of 1971, the band held auditions for a guitarist in their large country home, ... recommended her high school friend, Bob Welch, who was living in Paris at the time. The band had a few meetings with Welch and decided to hire him

doubt it ... it was very much a Peter Green song, hadn't he gone a bit mad by then? anyway, this is PH, I thought pedantry mattered

"What A Shame" was one of his early collaborations.
Sort of works?
I resisted posting on the basis that few people got excited about early 70s FM and would probably not know it.....

Q. Who would win in a fight to the death between Joey Barton and John Terry?
A. We all would.

Would you please for Christ's sake give up this childish act of pretending not to know the names of any footballers? Joey Barton has been all over the past few pages of this very thread and John Terry has been on the front pages of the newspapers more than the back over the past couple of years. I can assure you that you're just making yourself look like a dick.

If so I'm quite happy to remain clueless! tedious anyone could clearly work out what was meant "they're both s, everyone's a winner if at least one of them dies" even if you'd never heard of them given that John Terry was all over the news for about a year, and Joey Barton has just had a series of jokes you've also commented on, with the premise being 'he's a ' then it's clear you're just sticking to this "what? football? never heard of it" schtick - give it a rest, ignore the jokes you don't like

im said: Yes, its a football thing. They are both obnoxious characters. Thank you for the only informative reply! As for these 'people' having been all over the news, I completely ignore anything on the news, or in the papers , if it is in the sports section or has the word 'football' involved. I absolutely hate anything to do with the players or the tribal hoards who treat it as a religion. Anyway, my rant over, let's get back to some Friday humour!
