Right,
upon the request of Mr CB and Mr Beaver, we'll make a solid New Years attempt at vacating the Match.Com thread from discussion of:
> Lady mental > Man mental > long term relationship joint mental
And bring it on in here.
How's that?

Or maybe people will actually drift back to the match thread and discuss dating rather than it being full of nut nut stories all day every day and f k all to do with dating... perhaps... Matt awaits thread closure and sarcastic comment from salmon cord wearing mod

Ahhhhhhhh, I feel at home already So, I was thinking, maybe I wouldn't feel quite so agitated about the whole 'ex' thing if I sent a closure letter/email... I'm feeling it may be a bad idea, but I've got some things I'd like to get off my chest and a 'face to face' conversation will inevitably end in a screaming match. Nothing too gushy, just saying things happened, I may have done some stuff, she may have done some stuff, I don't regret our relationship, I've learnt a lot, I hope she meets the right person for her, does well in her job and wish her the best. Actually, reading that back, maybe not the best idea...

I suggested closure in the other thread and you shot me down, PILLOCK! How about, write the damn letter. Then re-write it. Once it says all you want to say, you can either put it somewhere safe & use it as catharsis or post it to the little blonde mind-f k, and live with the consequences. If do the latter, BE VERY BLOODY CAREFUL WITH YOUR WORDING.

Ummm... stalking, jealousy, manipulation, controlling etc. The match thread contains all sorts, but very litle about dating recently, some good insults and predictions, some decent dating f k ups, a lot of insecurities and some stories of bonkers exes - mainly women but then this is a male focused forum, you should have a read

As long as I keep it free of bitterness, desperation, affection and blame, I reckon it could help me put this to bed once and for all. At least that way I can avoid the inevitable awkward encounter with her and her new fella. Plus it should stop our joint friends from feeling stuck in the middle. ETA - This is a new thread and the above reads like I want her back. So for anyone who isn't up to speed, I sacked her off...

The Beaver King said: Horrible, unspeakable acts of depravity, filth and worse, people showing...... their feelings I thought the Match thread was mostly blokes posting “Listen to what this woman did to me, she’s MENTAL”, followed by other chaps saying “erm, hold on a minute mate, have you looked in the mirror lately? Nutjob.”

Sleep on it. Re-draft the next day/week. And when you're sure it will gain closure, POST IT. Don't hand deliver, just POST IT!
