I've got nothing against the guy, it's just that all these "selfie" type posts he sticks on twitter are actually carefully staged professional shots. He obviously has a group of lackies following him about and bigging him up. He just doesn't need it, he does his talking on the track and is obviously very talented and a great competitor, the rest of of it is just being a tit.
I follow him on instagram and it's mix of stuff. He has a mate who professional photographer and they hang out a fair bit hence all the pro shots but he often posts rubbish phone snaps of him walking his dogs and stuff as well.I can understand why people find him a bit odd but I just see a young guy enjoying the spoils of being a wealthy and successful sportsman. I also think he puts himself under a lot of pressure to be a role model that sometimes makes him come across as a bit of a plum. He seems a nice sort though, you never hear of him having rants at people or being a diva.

Right, what's his next disaster? Gentlemen, place your bets...
Oooh, let's think. Many more race victories?
This year's WDC - and more to follow?
A few more million in the bank?
Recognition beyond those that follow F1?
The odd celeb' girlfriend or four?
There's another thread running about rubbish company strap lines. Judging by this and similar themed topics, I have one for the UK:
Great Britain: By all means try but whatever you do, don't succeed.
I genuinely don't think the Brits like knocking those who are successful - we do it to everyone irrespective of their success or social standing - myriad of instances of piss taking of the poor, stupid etc.
What I think is very British is the view that no matter how successful you get - don't get ideas above your station and start acting the tt because you'll get called out for it.
That rule applies to everyone - be they multiple F1 champions or orange imbeciles from TOWIE.
