I'm browsing belts as I need a new one. Why would you want to buy a reverable belt over a normal one? The reversable ones seem slightly more expensive.
Because its reversible?
and that is appealing why....

Late at night, why do programmes on TV channels such as Dave or Gold continue to have breaks when they have no ads to show.
To keep the programme schedules in order.

Without a three or four minute break, the programmes would bunch up leaving an odd time slot at some point during the day which would be difficult to fill using a standard timed TV show.

pee and tea brake?
It never even occurred to me that someone could be confused by the concept of reversible belts, how is it not blindingly obvious? Unless you are brown/black colour blind?

Discovery et al tend to show the program with no adverts from 3am to 6am and as they have 5 minute breaks they get an extra hour to programming in by doing it.

How were non compound fractures diagnosed before X rays? Did anyone even know there was such a thing as a hairline fracture?

Perfectly possible to have a non compound fracture that quite obviously "bends in the wrong place". WRT hairline fractures, no idea.

They don't stuff their faces with chicken nuggets, pot noodles, and chips at every opportunity from the age of three. Furthermore, they don't start smoking at the age of eight, and don't start drinking WKD from twelve onwards.

Do you mean the Nazis forbade Eastern European women from having sex with members of their own family? Seems almost sensible... .

There is something in this principle. Certain races do seem to go very much downhill after a certain age looks wise.

Or you're Clark Kent and the first colour won't match when you put your pants over the outside of your trousers.

Yeah sorry about the belt thing. I have noticed now that the reversable one is two colours. >_<

Silly question, but do CRB/criminal record checks (now called DBS) checks include driving license points? (like a spent IN10 from my yoof days). I suppose if you've never been in trouble with the law in any shape or form (not even a caution) then it would come back completely blank, correct?

The most I ever had was a rozzer telling me to get off my bike and walk (after asking them for directions) as I didn't have any lights on whilst cycling at night.

Yeah also the enhanced checks reveal how many times you spanked the monkey over your sister's knickers , went to bed late and didn't finish your supper.

What are these? they hang on the power lines near some water on my way to work

I'm not sure the things in your picture are anything other than described previously in this thread, but you also see hanging from cables these things:

They're simply dampers; which oscillate at the resonant frequency of the wire so that it doesn't start to swing wildly when just the right wind speed blows over it.

Last one I had didn't even throw up a caution for possession or a night in the cells for being drunk and disorderly as far as I know. If it did I was still cleared to work in schools without an escort.
