Why is Lily Cole a model? Does anyone regard her as attractive? Do any men fantasise over her? Do any women want to look like her?
I've seen some pictures of her in the nude that look as though someone was performing an academic exercise to see if it was possible to produce a boring full frontal nude photo of a young woman. If so they succeeded.

She's written magazine articles that are perfectly competent so she's obviously bright. Has she mistaken herself for some glamorous bimbo?
She's a fashion model, not a glamor model or promotional model - they're after a very specific body shape which apparently shows off clothes well, everything else is secondary.

Some fashion models become famous 'super models' and this brings in other work / fame with it - but she could have a face like a bag of spanners if she's tall and skinny with a long neck and slender arms - she could still earn a living prancing up and down cat walks.

Kelly Brook on the other hand, pretty face is more a promo / glamour model so it's all about the face (and tits) daaaaarlin' it it was for her fame she wouldn't get work showing off clothes.

If you had a twin engined car, would it make more sense to have each engine driving one pair of wheels, or be 'better' to merge the power supplies and then distribute them?

I'll raise my hand and say I think she's gorgeous.

I've just looked her up on Google. She looks like a Cabbage Patch Doll.

However, each to their own etc.. Just my personal view.

She went to my school, a number of years after me.

Having met her at an alumni event (well, watched her from the corner), she is fking stunning in the (clothed) flesh.

No confirmation bias either as I'd not heard of her previously, and it took a mate to tell me who she was.

Yet I'm not the one with kid in my username!

I'm sure you're young enough to remember Robert Orme? He retired this year, after God knows how many years - did a 'final lecture' which was absolutely brilliant, and won a few awards too - rightfully so, I remember his lessons as being some of the best I've ever experienced...

Why is/are the West (America mostly) so afraid of Communists? Can we not just agree to disagree instead of pointing missiles at each other?

Propaganda, communism was portrayed as the great evil, enslaving it's people and making everyone poor and unhappy, some of it's true - but it's totalitarianism rather than communism per-se that enslaves people - but the Yanks especially tried to portray communism as a sort of virus that could be spread from person to person and region to region.

You can feel it even now, there were people who were sick and without insurance in American protesting against 'Obamacare' because it was 'Commie' and un-American.

Ultimately it was an hangover from WW2, the Allies and the USSR wanted to rule the world and tried to take it country by country - that what the missiles were for.

Like certain religions, communism is far removed from the original ideal and was/is used to keep everyone in their place, doing exactly what they're told. Also, the parallel works again, they were/are expansionist and want to obliterate the culture of the territory they inhabit and enforce their twisted way of life.

Again - just a mechanism for control.

If they didn't demonise communism, it just might have caught on.

The agenda is set by those with power and money, but these are a tiny minority.

If the downtrodden masses get the gist that their sorry lot might be improved by Communism, there is sown the seed of the revolution.

Which is definitely not on the agenda of the agenda-setters.
