Why do BBC newsreaders and reporters have to make such a big deal of the word 'thousand'? They all love it so much that they say it several decibels louder than any other word in the sentence, and they make it last a lot longer than its two syllable length deserves. Pitch tends to go up as well.

I'm sure you're young enough to remember Robert Orme? He retired this year, after God knows how many years - did a 'final lecture' which was absolutely brilliant, and won a few awards too - rightfully so, I remember his lessons as being some of the best I've ever experienced...
He was my form tutor. Wonderful man, one of the best teachers I ever had.

If clouds are just water vapour, when wind blows, why does the cloud move as a whole rather than just blowing all the vapour all over the place?
Because the wind is blowing in one direction (from high pressure to low pressure), and the water vapor all moves with it.

Just listening to Eastenders in the other room, and wondered if there is any square or street in London (or any other big city), where everybody knows every single person in the street?

There are 16 houses on my street, a mile from Manchester Town Hall. I don't know everyone well but certainly to recognise and nod hello to.

Does wind behave differently up there then? If I took a pan of boiling water out into the moors near me (no buildings or anything to cause disruptions / vortexes in the wind direction etc) the the steam would still get smashed about and blown apart rather than moving as a cloud wouldn't it?

The difference is scale - up at cloud height the air currents move in thick layers, there's a shearing force between them, but the cloud gathers in these layers and is whipped along in a fairly uniform speed.

Down at ground level there is a shearing force as the air close to the ground isn't moving, so you'll never get clean movement. Don't forget the volume of steam you can produce is tiny, have a look at a power station cooling tower some time - that kind of volume shows how it moves upwards.

Is old person blood the same as young blood?

(If you could let me know before it gets dark pls)
Very nearly. With age comes weight gain and associated blood lipid increase. In both sexes hormone levels change. The basic constituents of blood (red + white cells) don't change much though as blood still serves the same function (gaseous exchange and nutrition) in the body whether young or old.

Why is it when some young ladies speak to me (i'm 27, we're talking about those of the opposite sex around 20-30) they get all coy? I hold eye contact with them (if they're hot) and they start melting (figuratively speaking of course) within afew seconds.
I can tell when someone does or doesn't want to make eye contact with me and do what is appropriate (by not holding it too long). But those who do, and i do back.. get shy?

Just watched a programme on the Bloodhound SSC on iPlayer and at one point Andy Green takes a kid up in his plane and does a "loop the loop" to demonstrate G forces. Are you allowed to just do tricks/stunts like this or would he have needed some kind of permission (and if so, who from)?

Maybe because you are bit of love god who's good looks are such that people fear that if they observe said beauty for too long then they may start to cry with happiness and ruin their eye make up?

or

Maybe you are a bit of an over confident sex pest that unnerves people with your rat like stare and breath of a thousand camels?

Providing the aircraft type is approved for loops, no problem.
