What for? As in, what are they checking, that the track is level? Either for datum with works on the platforms/in the station or if there's big construction scheme nearby that levels haven't moved.

How do pubes know when to stop growing? Or don't they? It just strikes me that could end up with orifices getting blocked and wellies getting hair-stuffed if they weren't limited in growth. I know people often shave them off completely but have never heard of anyone having a little off the end or getting plaits or pig-tails! Just wondering?

the question should be "why does hair on your head get so long?" really, all animals only grow hair to a certain length

Hairs continue to grow until they stop and then fall out. The length is dependent on how old they are. Trimming hair makes most of them the same length so it looks tidier.

What for? As in, what are they checking, that the track is level? Is there any crossrail work going on nearby? I know all stations around any cross rail work, are being monitored for any movement. My bets are this is what you are seeing.

Does the follicle know that the first two millimetres are dark, followed by a light bit, then dark again then the rest a uniform light shade? I've asked the cat several times but he doesn't know and nor did his sister.
