I hope you have full time custody of your daughter. You seem like a sensible chap in a very grown up situation. Your ex doesnt.

1. get full custody of the child, so mother can't turn up and bugger off with child.

2. if OH refuses to give you back the car report it TWOC as its your property OP.

3. get advice from social services, as they are helpful in certain cases like yours.

4. prepare a statement to give to the parents of OH severing all ties with them.

5. get on with life and bring up your child in a safe loving environment he/she deserves.

my diary, which is in its 56th volume, tells a heartbreaking sobering story of being dragged through the social services system aged 7 due to my dad buggering off and trying to take me with him and from thereon describes going through school which for me was a living hell

I take back what I said about you.

Daughter.

Comes.

First.

There will be plenty of time for car projects when she grows up. Your daughter only has one shot at childhood. Sorry to be boring.

confused How do you deduce that his daughter isn't coming first from him buying a couple of cars? Sure, if he's not buying her food so that he can afford petrol, but I didn't get that from his post...

Yes, but in this scenario, why two cars? Surely one semi decent one leaving extra money to raise the child? Not having a go, just enquiring.
