Rude-boy said: That does not mean nailing relatives of ex's but getting on with your life and making it a happy one. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, gets on an ex's wick as much as seeing the person they left or caused to leave do better without them than they ever did with them.
Forget the ex, learn what works for you and doesn't and move onwards and upwards. Very true, that's what I was alluding to. I meant that bitterness and spite have no place, they aren't going to make you happy, which is all that matters. However if you're doing it to get at the ex, then you're kind of missing the point! Too many people carry baggage around from their pasts. By letting it go and moving on without anger and bitterness you'll have a much happier future.

Fair play all the advice everyone is giving is actually sticking and making sense. I work in the motor trade so got plenty to crack on with.
I have no plans for revenge just to move on and think work and a car is the way forward.
The house is gonna be rented out now and should just about cover everything in the long run should work out ok.
Gonna be the bigger man, my ex called me the other day to offer her sympathys we split on good terms and the guy my now ex is with asked my previous ex out but she declined on the grounds "he is hanging" so nice news for me and made me smile.

This will not last, She will soon be attempting to screw you out of as much money as possible to buy her out of the house and funde her lifestyle with new chap 2. See point 1 3. See point 2 4. If she rings again tell her that you are not interested 5. If you refer to the previous ex, remember that they are an ex for a reason

He like stiring your porridge by the sounds of it! I'd make sure you're very careful if you run into him, he might be interested in a fresher supply

I found a cheap holiday in the sun, and a few beers loosens the mind and body.If you can get to a spanish island, Go make some happy memories and the old painfull past will fade away!! very quickly. Then a fresh start when you return, with a clear mind and purpose in mind should fix it. The perfect woman for you, is out there and you will find her when you least expect it. That happened to me, married 9 years unhappily, went nowhere did nothing! now with OH 10 years and could not be happier, holidays all over the world 3 cars to play with. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST thing when the miserable ex found someone else!!

I've seen loads of monkeys fly thru the air not holding on to anything. They are quite capable of leaping from one tree to another. You need to get your facts straight before dissing monkeys.

Go for it, you could even get job in bar while there, and you know how attractive Barmen are to women when they have their beer goggles on!

I suspect from the way some people deal with it they will not be able to help complaining about the ex when they meet the new person. It's part of the reason why you have to actually deal with the stuff and move on, not try to do the ex's sister etc for revenge. It just makes it worse for you and doesn't really do anything to the ex if you're just bitter and out for revenge. Unless you poo on the cushions, that could create some problems (forgotten the PHers name that was involved in that).

I'm not going to go bleating all this good advice at him as I can see me turning into the agony aunt & getting left out in the cold which is not what I want

No never talk about exs on a date, most exs have a case of the mentals, My ex of 3 years split with me through silly reasons really. 6 months later shes still wanting me back and to give us another go knowing she made a mistake. I have found a younger model with no mental side as of yet, finding someone sooner does help. And for my ex the wonderful 6ft cop she met had a wife, its a funny old world and what goes around comes around. And well woman do have a shorter shelf life then men
