Not ridiculous or ignorant, but there's a shop in Harrogate called Knobs and Knockers. They sell door parapherna pharape parephre thingies.

There was a pub in Hamilton called Harleys, with the main sign outside saying "harleysbar.com". After the threat of legal action by Harley Davidson, it became just "bar.com" for ages. No idea if it's still going...

In Edinburgh is a chippy called The Codfather and one called Supperbowl (we call fish and chips a fish supper).
Also in Leeds is a hand car wash with the strapline "the best handjob in Leeds".
