I was tempted to drink the bottle of lancaster bomber I had kicking around but just fancied something easier given I wasn't supposed to be drinking. The fatal flaw was that this stuff is such easy drinking that I'm finding it hard to stop!

Carthage said: Peugeot, which started screaming at me to 'STOP' on the dual carriageway - that was fun. I've been told that the water pump is dead, although the person is not sure. How much will it cost? I have no money at the moment due to my situation. Dunno on cost. Depending on access under the bonnet it should only take an hour to do. It's literally remove the belt, drain the water system, remove the hose, undo the bolts, clean the gasket surface, bolt new pump on (with a bit of gunk for a belt and braces approach, reconnect hose, replace belt, refil with water once the engine's running. Not a massive job really. Where actually are you in the country? You can be cryptic if you like, I'm good at guessing. Didn't you say near Fairford?

Alcohol loses its appeal when your next-door neighbour is a pub. Yeah, I let the ex pick our house.
