Missed this last night, I was being out voted by the wimmin so I escaped to the pub. seemed like a good idea last night but I'm not so sure this morning.

In one. He's highly intelligent, but has not one glimmer of common sense. Little had been packed and a van hired at the last minute. Every now and then he'd go all Alpha Male on me and decide he didn't need help. I could ignore that but things like, "I've never driven anything big before," took quite a bit of internal adjustment. You're thirty-ish and you've never driven anything as big a - in my view - rather small van to move house and home? He said he'd only ever driven small cars. He said he rented something a bit bigger once on holiday in Spain and crashed it in the car park of the hire company. I wouldn't have fessed up for that. His, "No, that's fine, you don't need to do another run," was accepted by me at half past ten last night. I pictured all the stuff still there in Swindon piled up on the floors of every room and asked if he was sure. "Yes, I'll take the van back now and get the rest in my car tomorrow." Right. Good luck with that.
