I wish you'd all stop talking about Alpinas. It's going to end up costing me a fortune. Do want a B3.
I think a D3 might be a comfort for the old wallet on that fateful day when the beast gets knackered/bankrupts me.

High insurance costs are putting me off getting a bike, £800 for a decent one doing 2k miles a year. Considering I'm at home less than half a year, it's not worth it frown

Fine. However you'll have to purchase contents insurance for the rest of the car, equivalent to 90% of the full value, handily.

I can, but it will be cheaper than all the other quotes and then you have to promise me waste you'll waste lots of time complaining about it and then do it anyway.

That seems like a fair deal.

You certainly won't be getting any bad attitude from me. I'm just not that kind of person...

My car is healed and will be discharged from hospital tomorrow. smile
(Thank God, I hate driving the Astra, and I've driven some unwieldy things in my time).

And I quite liked the house I went to see, so will probably agree to rent it, and to escape the ex, who is happily Skyping his Bulgarian cyber-lover upstairs in the knowledge that I don't know anything about it (unless he reads PH, of course) laugh

Yes, it's cheap, it's different, it's got some toys, you have the skills and knowledge to make that the car it should have been. Something like that anyway...

Actually, just realised it's FWD.. I properly, heartily laughed aloud at the specs just now though, big 2.4-litre engine, with a vaguely respectable 170bhp, but then I saw that it's Urban MPG-rating is 23 and it's only eight tenths quicker to 60 from rest than my 95bhp, 1240kg 207.
