Today was meeting after meeting at different sites. The plus side was when a new girl from Nottingham had to shadow us to learn how to do tasks. She was not ugly. Today though had a downside, I had a lift between sites in a........ 2005 K12 Micra. Wow! It is a crap car with dated looking dash, stupid dials stupid angles which makes it impossible for any guy to look sane in it - including my manager. He paid good money for it aswell. I have named it - The Noddy Car! What a waste of money. The K11 is better in nearly every way.

So, I bought a joblot of cheapo toy cars on ebay for £40 to act as stocking fillers/party bag gifts, what with it being the lads birthday.
Or thought I did.
Picked them up tonight. Turns out it was the seller's father's collection of die cast models, all mint and boxed, lots limited editions with numbered certificates.
Prices on the bay of tat range from a fiver to twenty quid each (from a reasonably small sample, so some could be cheaper, perhaps some more expensive)
There are precisely 158 of them.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. I may be 17, but I still have many boxes and around 1,250 cars with mats. I still look at car mats in shops and think they are a bargain at £7.00. I have yet to buy one as I think I may look stupid but sometimes I want to get all my cars out and just play with them like old times.. I am sad.

I have named it - The Noddy Car! What a waste of money. The K11 is better in nearly every way. They're not a bad car, I'll go out on a limb to say. Sure the purple 05 boggo heap we had whilst the first A6 was being rebuild after a Dutch trucker played Air Hockey with it on the M25 was crap, but the mid-range 07 I used (another crew members) on set whilst working for a film company was great, we were filming in the middle of Horsell Common all night, and we were only allowed 4 vehicles inside the gates, and someone, in their infinite genius decided that I needed to move my car outside the gates over a mile away through thick woodland, despite me being a Production Runner, and the one tasked with driving people about, fetching fuel for generators, food, anything at all at any time, as well as loads of stuff on set. I had to constantly borrow this Micra, a 1.2 manual to go through the woods, it was f king epic! Grip on the dust/sand was bad, so it just slid around everywhere, it was like rallying, I felt like Hannu Mikkola at 10mph! Awesome. The facelift 08 we had whilst another car was in the bodyshop was ok, upper-mid range plAcenta, hubcaps etc, but it had a spoiler, Bluetooth phone/audio, AC, wheel remote etc, worked nicely, and the dials are far better, but the auto box was dimwitted and ruined the fun. My Grandma replaced the SLK200 Kompressor with a 60-plate n-tec 1.2 manual, excellent little thing. Big alloys, full colour postcode sat Nav, Bluetooth phone, climate, audio remote, auto lights/wipers, aux-in, etc, cracking little bugger, shame she revs the nuts off it to pull away and that she caught the flint and brick wall of the carport about 2 days into ownership and scraped all down one side... I actually looked briefly at a 3dr 160SR in bright red a few years ago...

Yesterday I got the closest to hitting another vehicle I've ever been - the van did stop in time but there must have been inches in it. By the time I got near the car in front the speed had come down to sub-10mph, so it wouldn't exactly have been hugely dramatic, regardless, I'm furious with myself. I had my best mate and her 7 year old stepson on board at the time. Scared the s t out of her, he fortunately didn't notice apart from the heavy braking. I think I must just not have been concentrating properly and started to brake too late (motorway slipway, downhill to a set of lights on a roundabout) but it's really shaken me up. How the hell do I work out if I'm still safe to drive and this was an exhaustion-related blip, or if it's the beginning of the end and I need to hand my license over? Sorry, not proper trivia fluff this time.

A moments inatttention doesnt suddenly make you dangerous on the roads so I would sit back, chill out a bit and just take stock of your driving over the next few weeks. If you feel then that you shouldnt be driving then dont. But dont make a stupid decision that you will regret before your licence arrives in swansea. Morning all, not normally on here so early in the day but I am sat killing time waiting for my lift to arrive that will be taking me to the leMans classic. Have fun and play nicely kids
