Assume that the person is not unattractive, i.e. you can imagine that a person of the opposite sex would probably fancy them.
Would it make any difference if the person was: a. A complete stranger, e.g. approached in a bar b. Someone you work with, a neighbour etc. c. A close friend
For the avoidance of doubt, no, no-one has and, no, I'm not thinking of doing so to someone else.

Yeah, yeah, methinks you doth protest too much! I can only presume the 'impolitely decline' 25% are rather insecure about their sexuality M.

Ask them to put some women's clothing and make-up on and I'd think about it. On reflection I'd probably decline politely

Politely decline, no gay person I have ever known would actually put you in a position where you would need to impolitely decline and they are pretty good at knowing if someone is gay or not

What sort of stone age heathen would decline rudely/violently?

The PM you sent me asking if I'd start a thread for you Actually, PH Towers asked me to start a thread to test their new poll vote scanning database. From now on, all poll votes will be captured by the database and the results used against members from time to time. You know, just for kicks.

Politely decline, but in secret find it very flattering. Just go round any gay bars on an average night out and you'll get hit on. Not that I frequent such establishments, but Im not going to deny going there. Im confident with my sexuality.

Depends who it was and how they did it but generally it would be a polite refusal (the other option being a rude refusal)
I've had two gay acquaintances compliment my physique the first one was an older guy when I was 18 and I was working shirtless in the sun (I then put a shirt on)
The other was a similar aged guy.
I felt uncomfortable at the time but looking back - a compliment is a compliment !

No "lock them in a sports bag and leave them in a sterile bathroom in Pimlico" option?
