If someone of the same sex came on to me?
I'd get the tissues out.

Council Baby said: I was in a bar on Gili Trewangan (Lombok, Indonesia) about a month ago Sorry off topic, but what's it like now? I was there 20 years ago and it was fantastic, about a dozen bars/hostels with a party in 2 of them every night Regarding OP it has happened a few times, regularly during my clubbing days, take it as a compliment and politely inform them you're straight, not difficult

Gili Air and Gili Meno are probably as GT was. On the plus side I had the best BJ ever on the beach Carthage said: Council Baby said: Carthage said: At the moment I'd accept almost anything, having been single for a whole two weeks. Variety is the spice of life. And I would imagine after the initial ring sting it wouldn't hurt that much?

Keyser Soze said: Politely decline, no gay person I have ever known would actually put you in a position where you would need to impolitely decline and they are pretty good at knowing if someone is gay or not Depends how drunk. I used to work in a gay bar as a student and one night whilst closing up, my colleague - the only other straight guy that worked there - was chaining up the emergency exit and as he leant forward to lock the padlock two hands appeared either side of him on the door and he felt a crotch being pushed against him. He screamed like a girl and ran back up the stairs and the muscle Mary just laughed and walked out. Me, I thought it was hilarious TBH, but it did give the poor lad a shock. When pissed a lot of our customers used to get a bit gropey; especially towards the end of the evening when the air was 50% amyl nitrate.

I've only ever been to one strip joint in my whole life; It was a gay one in Soho.
Am I gay? No. I was with two female work colleagues on a Friday night. They wanted to be cheeky and naughty with me. Did it work? No, but one bloke came upto me and said 'your straight aren't you'? Err, how can you tell?
Didn't bother me being in there. It was just like being in a Gym changing room. Nowt special.
I had an old colleague come onto me. I felt slightly chuffed but then I'm secure in my sexuality and I don't see anything wrong with any sexuality. What does piss me off are 'Toms' who think they are sexual dynamite to women.

Where's the options for 'just get on with it', enquire 'your place or mine' etc?
Poll entirely assumes all respondents are hetero, or closeted/otherwise ashamed of interest in same gender sex/relationships.

Term is used as such in Tipping the Velvet.

It has happened 3 times! Once a guy in a vest! The next was a guy in a suit in a bar. And the last was a hairdresser in my local that wouldn't let it drop, he was saying things like "why don't you just try it once?". Anyway as an apology to me, he introduced me to his female friends. It doesn't bother me! Girls ask me out and so do guys, its very flattering!

It happened to me once in a club in Sydney.
I was extremely flattered, but politely declined. Once I explained that my snake only hides in bushes, the chap in question had a good laugh about it with me.
