No "depends if they are a giver or taker" option?

I was in a bar on Gili Trewangan (Lombok, Indonesia) about a month ago chatting to the guy who ran it. He was telling me that a few weeks before hand he'd had to fire a local bloke after several complaints from male tourists.

Seems that, over the course of a few months, several men had come to him in a state of shock having woken up on the beach after heavy nights, finding themselves being sucked off by this barman.

This begged a similar question - given that several blokes had the balls to report it, and nobody had beaten the crap out of this guy, how many people didn't report it, and how many people just lay back and let him finish them off, and how many people slipped him a length... the mind boggles. You'd figure that more people would be inclined to beat the st out of him than the number who reported the 'phantom Indonesian beach blower'.

A polite "Thank you but I'm straight" is easy enough to say and will cover the situation without an issue. Had it happen a few times on nights out with gay friends at uni and on nights out with my little brother. Never an issue and taken as a compliment

At the moment I'd accept almost anything, having been single for a whole two weeks.

My dad's cousin was working on Jersey when he was in his early 20s; this would have been in the late 1960's. He was a time-served mechanic so I'm surprised how naive he was. He had come home and had arranged a night out in Chester with his mates. Most of his mates were a bit older than him and they set him up by telling him they'd meet him in a particular pub, which unbeknown to him was a gay pub. Apparently the pub looked pretty normal - it wasn't exactly full of trannies and blokes with leather chaps with the arse-cheeks cut out and was fairly quiet.

His mates were planning to leave him in there for a bit while they had a pint elsewhere as they knew he would probably get a shock. As he was stood at the bar, a bloke came up to him. He was with a group of men:

"Are you on your own?"

"I am at the moment...just waiting for my mates to turn up."

"Do you fancy coming to a party"

"Yeah! Do you mind if my mates come?"

"No, we don't mind at all."

"Great! Are there going to be many birds there?"

"No...it's not that sort of party..."

At this point it clicked and he just jumped up off his stool and lamped him. The place erupted and he was dragged outside by a couple of bar staff and he was arrested by a couple of coppers who were there pretty quickly.

It was in the era when a bit of gay-bashing wasn't even frowned upon and the coppers let him go in the morning without charge, saying they locked him up for his own safety as he would have had the s**t kicked out of him if they'd left him.

Doesn't matter what sex you are to me, I would politely decline as I'm very happily married and punching well above my weight (imagine jimmy crankie vs mike tyson) but flirt outrageously.
