I'm quite sure I could dig up something quite innocuous from his past and spin that along with his Englishness in to a widely shared Guardian article demonising him, but I digress. This is not about the composer. Were I to compile a list of my favourite things, composers, foods, places, where they were largely English, I'd be deemed, at best a patriot.
