I recently bought 2 wireless nightvision cameras and a screen so I can wire them to my pajero then go offroading in the dark biggrin Havent set it up yet.

Possibly a bit of a waste of money ;D
I'm currently talking myself into some night vision. Can't decide if i want goggles or a single eye, handheld scope type thing.

Try and have a go with them first as they can be very variable, I've used a couple of cheap first/second generation (the one in your link is a Gen1) night vision rifle sights and they were utterly st unless you had IR ilumination, while the high end 3rd generation stuff like the PVS14 the army currently use sells for about £3k and really is that much better than the cheap stuff. Dunno if the Gen4 stuff is avaiable yet, when we doing some work on night vision kit about 4 years ago even the UK military couldn't get hold of them as the US military were buying everthing the factorys could produce.

The piece of kit I'm bidding on has IR illumination. I take it that drastically reduces battery life?

It's really just for a bit of fun, and keeping our eye on the horses, making sure they're still in the right field at night when it's dark. A couple of them have a habit of jumping fences at night and going a wander.

I don't really shoot at night, my air rifle scope has illuminated crosshairs, but tbh, i don't really find it helps any in low light conditions.

Not necessarily, the illumination is usualy LED so they don't take a lot of power, but obviously they don't give a masive range.

I'm pretty good at this, much to the GF's dismay, add to previous laptop white elephant;

- Full Logitech G27 wheel and mount set up for GT5 (used twice)

- Trek Fuel-Ex 8 (not used enough)

- Slow cooker (good old Le Creuset is much better)

- Full HD Panasonic TM900 (a 700 would have been fine, but maybe I'll get more use when the kids come along, at which point it'll be dated!)

Aaaaaaaaand, wait for it PHers.....

- Four 18" OEM BMW 208M's with proper winter tyres - I live in the South West ffs what was I thinking! confused

Our washing machine broke, so I bought a new one, and dumped the old one in my garage.

Later, I decided to fix it, just to see if I could. So I bought a new programmer, £20 quid. That worked OK, so replaced the drum bearings, they were a little noisy, another £12 quid. Now working fine, apart from a drip from the pump which was slightly cracked.

Thanks to this thread, I've just bought a new pump(£16), and I'm going to respray it, once I decide a colour scheme.

Damn the expense, this is exciting.cool

I forgot to say, I did this exact same thing. Exactly the same.

Anybody interested? It's cheaper than DoubleSix's hehe

I would, but the Logitec doesn't work with the Xbox. Then again, I suppose that's not in the spirit of this thread hehe
