You've defined the word 'frivolous' (I assume it's correct - I'm not going to bother looking it up) and then said that a car can't be frivolous.

Well, if a car fits the second point, then it can be frivolous. Just because it's researched then it's not frivolous.

I know someone who was supposed to go and buy a car for him, his misses and kid but ended up buying a Boxster. That would be frivolous, no?

As a lurker on this thread I've been close to buying a few things over the last couple of months. Couldn't resist these though. Not 100% frivolous as I was looking for a new pair of apres ski sunglasses all through this year's ski trip so at least I have next year sorted out now.

Will I be able to pull them off? Probably not.
Will I care? Hell no!

Yup, the pic above is what was delivered to me yesterday. The lenses seem great (although I am yet to actaully wear them in any sunlight) and the plastics seem flexible and durable. I'm going to order a couple more pairs this weekend in different colours.

The classics are rather tempting. Especially since my cherished fake Egyptian Ray Bans are now 'ay Ba s'. Quite like black frames with red arms. Hmmm.

Very cheap. I lost my real all black ray-bans (so they will turn up just after these do). I have 2 other pairs of RB's.

So I've ordered an all black set and an all blue set. If I like them I may order the mavericks.

The quality isn't the problem, it's the UV protection, of which there rarely is any.
