Retro Kenwood.... well, actually not retro. Old Kenwood with all basic extras including dough hook, whisk, Kbeater, stainless bowl and processor. cool

The wife is away .... I will surprise her with home made mayo ( with lobster of course ), and a nice meringue !

Just to follow a similar trend to the above, I just got this! Although not frivolous, as it was free.

Presumably if you're burning your own CDs you have the music in digital format already. So why not use a media player rather than going to the faff of burning a CD to put it into a CD player?

An IR digital thermometer with dual laser targetting.

I have no real need of one but a) Maplin had it on offer reduced from £54.99 down to £39.99, and b) it has lasers! Pew pew!

Also, I've been wanting one of these automatic wire strippers for ages, so I thought "sod it" and finally bought one.

Not sure if it plays home burnt CDs - not tried it yet - but it's a Sony MegaStorage CDP-CX350. There are some other models as well which play less/more CDs.

It is absolutely fantastic. I've not fully used it yet, but saw it used previously and it's pretty advanced for how old it is (1999). It has an optical output, which is useful. You can name all of the CDs in there, so you can search by CD - It'll take a lot of time though!!!

Nothing wrong with the old thermostat (in fact it was quite fnacy!)

I prefer my nest(a page or two back), tbh; more compact.

I doubt that there are many differences in functionality.

The ability to control it from work and annoy the wife is priceless.
It's making me look at these now:

Good lad! biggrin

I've got seven standard bulbs!! I might be tempted by one of the strips but can't figure where I'd put one! What apps do you use! I use Hue Pro. Hue Disco is quite fun.

Tempting. Except 1/2 the bulbs I want to control are outside. So they either cook in summer and die quickly (or the dawn/dusk controller does, which is one reason bringing the control back to the switch inside the house appeals), or they'd get pinched.

good work. have you stopped measuring the temperature of everything in the house yet?

i have a fluke one. used it maybe once for something approaching useful [tyre temps] yet couldn;t tell you where it is right now!
