Nostalgia surfing Autotrader the other Friday I was looking at MGF's. The wife had one before the kids and loved it. She came in and saw what I was looking at and said get one bought. Trip to the bank Saturday morning and this was the result. Sailed through the MoT and was cheap as chips. Good summer fun. Taking it on my 120 mile commute tomorrow being as the family are away.

Not posted on this before but bought these Lagouile steak knives.

Those are exquisite!

Been looking at Lagouile steak knives and bottle openers for ages,, just never been brave enough to hit the buy it now button.!
I've never understood steak knives. When I cook steaks, you could use a spoon to cut them they're so tender.

If the meat I was eating was so tough it meant I had to have especially sharp knives to cut it, I wouldn't eat it.
Hence the "frivolous" part of the title... wink
I was at a steak restaurant in Dubai. Once I placed my order the waiter came over with a selection of very fancy weapons to choose from. Made me want to get a set as it adds to the occasion and they feel great to use.

A 4TB Western Digital Red HDD at a cost of £120, to add to the four I have already so I can extend my 4-drive 12TB NAS box to a 5-drive 16TB one. Frivolous because I have plenty of space and don't really need it.

I'm trying to avoid buying another one of these as I already have 3 of them but only have around 1TB left. God help us when 4k goes mainstream!

I'm aware that WD have released a 6TB drive but the size of a RAID array is determined by its smallest HDD so unless I upgraded the existing 4TB drives to 6TB as well, I'd see no benefit. I can't really afford to spend £1000+ on HDDs right now so £120 for an extra 4TB made more sense.

BZZZZZZZZZZT. Oh... bugger. I've just rendered this purchase ineligible for this thread haven't I.
