Cant wait to see the Mrs laugh when I produce the needle and thread tonight!

So, just to clarify things here... you guys are discussing sewing, right?
Hmm kickstarter projects are funny. I've got a product, don't want to go to the trouble and cost of making it myself, so i sell it as a 'fully customisable' product that the customer finishes off. Hilarious. The Chinese must be worried. A Crafts movement for Men? hmmmThere is no 'brand' value to Wingback, and the only way they can establish quality is from the leather and thread, and the profit is the difference between buy and sell price of the materials and maybe making a few pence on postage.
Yeah, that will work.
Or is it just to get a good enough idea, get loads of funding from people trying to get in at the start of a 'business', and never actually intend to make money out of the product itself? Now that is clever and devious.
A £20 wallet is hardly frivolous though!

Guys, which hubsan quadcopter is the one to get? There's a number of versions with different features
Well I just picked up the x4 with camera. Bugger, was supposed to be having a non frivolous month.Morningside, do you know much about calculators then? Clearing out my late FIL's stuff we found quite the collection. None are Texas but a few are boxed with instructions. They are currently sat in a box whilst we decide what to do with them. There are more, I'm just not sure where I put them at present.
My Father In Law bless him was the biggest hoarder. He died 12 months ago and we've barely scratched the surface of his many collections. We feel a little guilty throwing stuff or sending it to charity because he put so much effort into collecting it.
At some point we are going to have to say 'enough' and bin a lot of stuff but bit soon yet I think. Not sure why he had a thing for calculators, he certainly never used one in daily life.

Like most things price jumps all over the place. Collectors prefer programmable or scientific ones. Highest prices tend to be HP stuff but other quirky ones can do OK. Ones like Sinclair, Rockwell or Commodore. I would love to see the others

(change of username, just to confuse)I would love to see the others
Not too sure where the others are at present, last I saw of them they were in a big box of watches he's hoarded. If I find them I'll take some photos for you. I know there were more of the slim advertising ones amongst them.

LEGO Mini, to go with the VW Camper, to go with all the other slightly not-needed LEGO

My Lego collection is limited (supercar and helicopter). However, I have purchased another new cabinet from Ikea to display my choice of frivolous purchases
Those IKEA display cabinets are great value for money. I have one for my own frivolous purchases. (Obviously I'm not in the same league as I only have the one)
