Wingback wallet has arrived.

Cant wait to see the Mrs laugh when I produce the needle and thread tonight!
Mine from the 12th..

I can sew for toffee, but succeeded with this.. still very happy with it..
I reckon mine would fall apart in days hours. Need to purchase a finished product.
It really isn't that hard, here's my attempt.

Hmm kickstarter projects are funny. I've got a product, don't want to go to the trouble and cost of making it myself, so i sell it as a 'fully customisable' product that the customer finishes off. Hilarious. The Chinese must be worried. A Crafts movement for Men? hmmm

There is no 'brand' value to Wingback, and the only way they can establish quality is from the leather and thread, and the profit is the difference between buy and sell price of the materials and maybe making a few pence on postage.

Yeah, that will work.

Or is it just to get a good enough idea, get loads of funding from people trying to get in at the start of a 'business', and never actually intend to make money out of the product itself? Now that is clever and devious.

A £20 wallet is hardly frivolous though!

I just pre-ordered an Oculus Rift DK2. That's pretty frivolous, the only use I can think of for it apart from doing Stevie Wonder impersonations is playing Elite: Dangerous, and I've already got a fairly good TrackIR set up for that going on.

Guys, which hubsan quadcopter is the one to get? There's a number of versions with different features
Well I just picked up the x4 with camera. Bugger, was supposed to be having a non frivolous month.
You'll want to order a prop guard and plenty of replacement propellers and batteries. Trust me biggrin

Anyone know anything about these? I really fancy one.

TI-Nspire CX CAS.
I keep looking at them. I am a sucker for Texas Instruments calculators.
A very SMALL amount of my collection.

Picked up a crash kit with a spare battery/motors/body/motors and props. There was a guard in the box.

Kind of fell into a Jeep dealer and bought a Patriot Overland. It really is frivolous as we were planning on keeping the Civic Type S for a few years yet. Came to the conclusion life is short, it's only money and bugger it.
Anyone want to buy a Type S? redface

Morningside, do you know much about calculators then? Clearing out my late FIL's stuff we found quite the collection. None are Texas but a few are boxed with instructions. They are currently sat in a box whilst we decide what to do with them. There are more, I'm just not sure where I put them at present.

My Father In Law bless him was the biggest hoarder. He died 12 months ago and we've barely scratched the surface of his many collections. We feel a little guilty throwing stuff or sending it to charity because he put so much effort into collecting it.
At some point we are going to have to say 'enough' and bin a lot of stuff but bit soon yet I think. Not sure why he had a thing for calculators, he certainly never used one in daily life.

Like most things price jumps all over the place. Collectors prefer programmable or scientific ones. Highest prices tend to be HP stuff but other quirky ones can do OK. Ones like Sinclair, Rockwell or Commodore.
I would love to see the others nerd

(change of username, just to confuse)
Not too sure where the others are at present, last I saw of them they were in a big box of watches he's hoarded. If I find them I'll take some photos for you. I know there were more of the slim advertising ones amongst them.

To be fair my heroin Lego addiction appears to be far worse. Even telling lies to loved ones about how my two year old son wanted a Lego Deathstar one christmas. Now I'm in counselling I think I have too much lego.

LIKE! thumbup

My Lego collection is limited (supercar and helicopter). However, I have purchased another new cabinet from Ikea to display my choice of frivolous purchases (gf kindly having them in the living room - I'm moving into her flat).

Those IKEA display cabinets are great value for money. I have one for my own frivolous purchases.

(Obviously I'm not in the same league as I only have the one)
