Both are dev kits. Not really intended for public use rather for developing functionality and apps for each.

A few Glass's as we want to play with interpersonal apps and as for the Oculus DK2's ... we've got something like 4 currently for similar reasons, a few awesome personal and professional projects in the works.

Initial Verdict.

Glass : Awesome, but needs a killer app. Nav (walking and driving) is awesome when combined with head tracking.
DK2 : Compared to the DK1 it's light years ahead, when combined with our apps and the head tracking camera removes one of the final barriers to proper immersion. In short we're 75% of the way to a consumer product now.

It's obvious, It's a shark gun. You use it to gun sharks. Presumably.

"Prices vary from $4,000 to $40,000."

I'd want it to gun a lot of sharks for that money.

I've just reserved a Canon EOS M. Not in itself frivolous apart from me already owning:

Canon 5D Mk3
Canon 1Ds Mk2
Canon 450D
Mamiya 645 AFDII
Leaf Aptus medium format digital back
Linhof Technikardan
Leica D Lux 4
A couple of other compacts

It is cute though, and I'll get an adaptor to use my existing Canon lenses with it, it's small so will be ideal for travelling light and slipping into my landscape bag in case I need a backup camera and am travelling light.

How much of a penis will you look like walking about in those glasses!
Less of a Penis than he would look walking around with the Occulus Rift gear on.

I really want something more compact than my 5D for when I'm roaming around. If I could justify it, I'd have done the same. an EOS M with a nifty fifty 1.4 would be so fun.

Are these for PH projects? Or something else that you're involved with?

Yep, a teenage engineering OP1. A small but very powerful and capable synth. I'll most likely use when staying in hotels and on my tod for a while. Great to just experiment and make some crazy sounds on.

I'm not even a big fan of hot dogs, but for $14, it has to be tried.
