If anyone needs cables to go with it, then I have previously bought these and have been really pleased with them. The quality and construction is really good, the price is good, and the braided cable covering is pleasingly retro and also means they don't tangle.

I started a thread on these. I have run out of things to do with them. Put one on keys, okay. And now ... erm. Attached one to the dog to annoy him briefly. Open to suggestions ...

Details here: http://www.thetileapp.com/

Basically an app on your iPhone allows you to locate each tile via Bluetooth. Useful if you have a messy house and lose your keys (or dog wink). Not that useful if you leave them elsewhere as it is purely Bluetooth so relatively short range. You can put things in 'lost mode' which means that any tile app on any phone will look for them, but I do not see the Tiles becoming so ubiquitous for this to be useful.

I can't think of a worse way to control a TV! Push it, pull it, twist it, tap it.

You'll be reaching for your old remote in 5 minutes!

Speaking of useless, where does one order those tile things in the UK? hehe

I can confirm that it's dangerous just to look.

On Monday I bought a huge fish tank, for our tiny single goldfish!

Then yesterday, because it was only £120 I bought this:-

I already have loads of garmin gear too!

How well does/would it work with chubb keys, I've got 2 on my current disorganised key lump

thanks
It doesn't which is why I don't use my orbit key. Only have 2 keys, one of which is a Chubb.
Thanks Alex, orbit key now off the list. Will have to find another mostly pointless toy smile
I've seen it work with Chubb style keys. Just a little modification of the key needed (which allows you to spend a few hours in the garage with your favourite radio station on getting your hands dirty smile

Here is a link to what needs to be done to make it work:

Yep that was the best bargain I have had so far on this weeks Black Friday offers, although the Fish Tank was over 70% off too.

Still Mrs P complained about both of them! " you don't need them, what are you going to do with that etc!"

They just don't understand frivolous purchases do they?
