I'm presuming, from the photos of it next to a tablet, a phone and a coffee cup, that it's going to be slightly longer than a phone and several times thicker?
In my instance, I didn't look at those photos. It's not an issue but I thought it would be half the size.
Mine arrived today and, to be honest, I agree that it is rather chunky. Definitely something that would live in a bag (handbag / manbag / rucksack / whatever) rather than a pocket.

The other thing I notice is that its specs say its output is 5v / 2.1A max per output (which we know) but its input is 5v / 1A max which means for a 10 Ah battery that's going to take a while to charge. I'd hope it might charge at 2.1A

There's a perfect slot in the bag I use day to day, but I won't ever need it for that!
It's nice to have. I used to have a more compact one but it was only low capacity. I'll just plug it into the live socket when my laptop's charging.

Yes, I agree. I confess I was very nervous about switching from a phone with a removable battery to one with a fixed battery. On the former I never got "range anxiety" because I carried spare batteries. And if I forgot to charge it overnight I could just slot in a fresh battery and go.

As it turns out, my current phone (Moto G) can go about two days between charges so I have never had the issue. So really, I don't need this 10 Ah doohicky (thus eminently qualifying it for this thread) but it's a nice little safety net to chuck into a bag, especially for a weekend away if you don't know when you will next get near a power supply.

I can agree on all counts there. When I went to my Sony Xperia Z1 I thought the same, but the battery will last a while.

It should be useful for skiing in a few weeks, because I guarantee that someone in the group will forget to charge their phone or have an old iPhone with a terrible battery.
I also like that it's a rechargeable torch!

Does anyone know how to make the torchlight shine solidly? I can only seem to make it flash....

ETA: got it whilst messing around with it. Double click the button. I can see myself using the torch function more than anything else, to be honest. It's bright.

These looked too cool to pass up on and so one is winging it's way to me now.... Damn this thread.
So is the last one a fake or a genuine one? Want to order one but not sure which one is the best.

Ordered a Pebble smart watch on the Amazon Black Friday sale - 99 down to 75. Can't wait to play with that when it arrives this week.

Don't go wandering around any US city carrying that.

Snap! He must love PH'ers and our impulse spending
Ordered a couple and while one was fine, the other had a few imperfections. Within a couple of hours of emailing them with photos they apologised, confirmed that a replacement was on the way and offered a discount on future purchases - so good customer service too.

I did have this conversation with the husband. It was an early Christmas present he'd snuck in the car. I went into the shop to pick up a few bits and while I was in there he moved it from it's hiding place in the boot to under the front seat. He said he spent the next 20 minutes worrying someone had seen him with it and called the Police biggrin

I'm guessing carrying it around in the UK is a no no, unless wearing full trooper armour in which case I suspect it would go unnoticed.

I had a Chromecast turn up in the post yesterday. I appear to have bought it Friday afternoon when drunk and have no recollection at all.

No idea what I'm going to do with it.

They'd probably still kill you in the US, stormtrooper armour or not!

I appear to have bought an iPad air 2 and a phantom dji quad copter somewhat frivolously, quad is ace and iPad is a nice step up from the perfectly good iPad mini it replaced.

Just please don't try hanging off them. Slightly dodgy putting "climbing" in the title of the auction but there is a disclaimer further down.
