Well I didn't think it was frivolous, and it was for a good cause.
Can anyone tell me what the capped inlet/outlet pipe is for?
Hard to say, been looking around the net to find the answer but can only pinpoint that it looks to be a 2012 exhuast system, as in 2013 they followed every other team down the Coanda exhaust route, which exited a lot lower and looks like this:

Sorry to dig out an oldish post, but iirc the capped section is a resonator to smooth the flow when coming off the throttle - it stops a snappy transition within the coanda/blown diffuser by smoothing the gas flow rate.

I have some sound magic e10,s, have had them two years now and they are excellent indeed for what they cost.
Looks like it's another pair of E10's. Might upgrade to the S model which are only £10 more but have a built in mic.

The Soundmagic E10 get my vote when paired with Comply foam tips. Mine have been going strong for nearly two years now. Saying that I could do with a replacement. Any suggestions?

I loved mine, but they fell apart far too quickly, I'm now using a pair of these which are excellent for the price:

I've had the E10s and the Artisan MediaDevils. Much prefer the MediaDevils, they have better construction, slightly more bass response than the E10's and the (British) company are lovely to deal with.

Full 8.1 pc, albeit not the highest powered, in 7 inch tablet form. Fits in a jacket pocket. For 79 quid. Brilliant for when my Surface is just too bulky.

Yup. I doubt either of them have anything to do with bolting them together.

My question was more concerned with the spec rather than the badge tacked on the front.

I know which company I'd rather buy computer kit from. By the same judgement, I probably would trust Tesco more than HP when it comes to ready meals. Even though they don't actually make any themselves...

That said, the connect has an HDMI port, but the Stream has a better screen.

HP do make sauces and stuff though, so it's probably a tighter call than you think.

Not sure.

I bought mine via the NL outlet for €99, which works out at about £75, so even cheaper! yes

Im going to bung a few movies on mine and then leave it in my locker at work for during long breaks. Perfect.

Just as a tip, turn it fully off rather than leaving it on standby. I have a Windows 8.1 tablet and a few others who didn't want iPads around here have them too, and we find that the batteries run down quite quickly on standby compared to iPads and Androids. They are great though.

That's between two Dells and an Acer. I really like my Dell Venue 8 Pro. I sort of wish I'd waited until this wave of cheaper ones came out as I could have saved a lot.
