On the subject of the cheap windows tablet, I've been looking for the cheapest way to set up an iTunes server for use round the house with our idevices.

If I get one of these, is there any reason why I can't point it at a network share (ubuntu, which is why I can't itunes it) and let it use that as the itunes directory?

I don't see why not. It is just a Windows PC in a non-traditional form. Some, such as my Dell even support external flash drives etc which you could use for storage.

Sorry to dig out an oldish post, but iirc the capped section is a resonator to smooth the flow when coming off the throttle - it stops a snappy transition within the coanda/blown diffuser by smoothing the gas flow rate.
Thanks krikkit.

Has anyone seen any GOOD earphones (NOT headphones) in the Amazon sale?
I got some Amazon vouchers for Christmas and I need some earphones.
These are half price and have a ton of good reviews on Amazon, everyone ignored them on my Xmas Amazon wishlist so I can't offer any first hand experience frown

These arrived today!

They really are excellent for £30 smile

I'm assuming that message means something civil in Dutch, and it's not reprimanding you for something

Im seriously impressed. To be honest I wouldnt grumble too much at 2 or even 3x the price.

It ported over my desktop and apps from my laptop, set itself up very quickly etc.

It seems to fly along speed wise, is intuitive to use, looks well made, and the screen whilst no Apple Retina, is certainly more than good enough for the job.

For £75 delivered. Bloody hell!

Thank fk you don't hate it!

It certainly is cracking kit for the coin.

I agree. If I didn't already have a 2012 Nexus 7 and a 2013 Nexus 7 I'd be seriously tempted.

And I thought the Hudl2 was good value!

Cracking screen and sound on those as well for tablet hankerers, with the discounts available for clubcard holders they're genuinely great buys.

Had a perfectly good Sony hi-fi system connected to the Mac (a frivolous purchase a few years ago) that did the job fine, although I do rather like my music. After some idle internet browsing I discovered Richer Sounds had a sale on, which resulted in these...

And

Which showed me how bad the Macs onboard sound was, which resulted in...

Should be.

Mine will also stream to Chromecast quite happily.
I've bought one.

I've also ordered some ready meals from Tesco. wink
