Just seen this on kickstarter.. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1243275397/ai...

Am I the only one who thinks that it's just going to either suck in girls hair or blow it everywhere, I have an image of girls walking down the road with their flying around them in a big umbrella shaped ball wobble
Aside from the narrator on that video annoying the st out of me, I can't help thinking that it's a bit pointless as an umbrella - my walk to the office would probably end up with me getting wet as the battery would run out before I'd got there.

have you tested it with rain coming down at an angle?
If raindrops come down at an angle, you should hold the umbrella cover in a way that is perpendicular to the direction of the raindrops and the effect almost the same.
They reckon $200 as a retail price for it!

Would like to see it actually work in some of the storms that we have had in London, the wind does not just have one angle and pretty certain it will not work.

Also, surely it's just going to blow rain at everyone around you? It sounds like a very expensive and terrible alternative to an umbrella.

Perhaps not entirely frivolous, but I had not bought the backlit Type 2 keyboard for my surface as at 120 quid it didn't offer enough over mine.

Just in PCW and they had them in a basket by the till for 19 quid.

Worth that.

There are 2 new Head Gasket Bobbles out. I have 2 already, they are brilliant and perfect for walking the dog. Don't know if I should get another as spare in case they stop producing them...

Dam you man, just ordered one myself! £28 for a key ring, happy new year!
It was delivered about a week ago, used it until today then I've relegated it to the tat drawer, can't get on with it with my car keys! Might try and use it for the house spare key, wasted on my mother when she comes to stay though!

...and she doesn't need a bottle opener!

My guess is there isn't a lot of development going on, I can't see students with 100k in the bank doing much more than getting pissed

I like this one,

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lunarmissiono...

They plan to drill holes in the moon

When they reach £600,000 they'll sell you a T shirt for £40 , when they got to £1,000,000 they're having a party, I bet they fking are.

Was looking for some info on hand saws and stumbled upon a thread about torches that was riveting. Ended up buying a Lenser P7.2 and H7.2 and a Fenix e05 and have still not quelled the buying beast biggrin

I didn't need one torch, let alone three.

I'm glad it's not just me!
I'm not into clothes, especially ones endorsed by celebs or sportspeople but these are brilliant.
